Mutation: Mack has the abilty to place her physical body in a coma state, allowing her "spirit" to roam. Invisible to bystanders, she is able to move objects while in this state, although it takes quite a bit of effort.

History: In her youth Mack seemed a bright child with the whole world laid out before her. No evidence of her mutation was visable, aside from her haunting grey eyes. All this changed when she was 10 years old, and her father began to molest her. Her teachers noticed the change, as this normally outspoken young girl became quiet and withdrawn, occasionally prone to outbursts of extreme anger.

To cope with the situation, Mack often envisioned being able to separate from her body and walk away from the whole situation. At the age of 13, that's exactly what happened. Mack found herself standing overtop of her own body, watching what her father was doing to her.

Things continued in this fashion for some time. Whenever her father approached her Mack would separate herself from the body, sparing herself the pain. One day the lack of responsiveness from his daughter angered Jack beyound reason, and he beat the girl within an inch of her life. The 15 year old's body had gone through such an ordeal that Mack was unable to return to it. Instead she sat by helplessly as she was taken to the ospital, where her body was pronounced brain dead and placed on life support.

fortnuately, one of the medical students on call was a former student of Professor Xavier. John Harris felt the girl's presence, and was able to deduce what had happened Using his mutant powers he was able to heal Mack's body to the point where it was possible for her to return to it. John then persuaded social services to send the girl to Xavier's school, rather than to put her in foster care.
