Mutation: David places the genetic structure of living things into a state of flux. When used against other mutants, this causes their powers to alter. When used against normal people, they sometimes develop powers. This affect seems to be temporary, as the genetic structure eventually stabilizes once more in its original form.

History" David was an above average student. He studied hard, stayed out of trouble, and earned good grades. He seemed to have some artistic talent, and had considered going to college to become a comic book artist. His parents did not care about his progress. His father had been an auto-mechanic, and hoped that his son would follow in his footsteps. Although his father tried to instill in him a love of machines, David always cared more for the paint than the engine. This drove the two of them apart. His mother always took his father's side in things, so his home life became one of silence. The final straw was the emergence of his mutant gifts.

He had been petting his cat, Nall, when his power emerged. Suffice to say, he was shocked when his cat sprouted beautiful feathered wings. His parents were horrified to discover that their son was a mutant. They moved away while he was at school one day, and never told him where they were going. David closed himself off from contact with other life, fearing that he would shunned orhunted for his gift. He was forced to live on the street, learning to live by his wits. He turned to crime, using the skills he had learned from his father to steal cars. He was befriended by the leader of a local gang, another mutant. The gang was wiped out by an especially militant branch of the Friends of Humanity, in an effort to get their leader. The two are currently on the run.
