Wolverine

Name: Logan
Code Name: Wolverine
Age: Unknown
Birthplace: Canada
Occupation: Member of the X-Men
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 200 lbs
Eye Color: Blue
Hair Color: Black

Mutation: Logan possesses heightened senses, which enable him to track people by sight, sound, and scent. He also has an accelerated healing factor. While most normal humans heal injuries over a long period of time, Logan's body can heal severe injuries (internal and external) in seconds to hours. The more extensive the injury, the longer the healing time. He is not immortal however. If injured to the point that his body cannot keep up, he will die. He is extremely resistant to disease, and since the healing factor also repairs age damage it is impossible to determine his exact age.

This healing factor allowed for Logan's most obvious mutation, the grafting of the metal adamantium to his skeletal structure. The metal makes his bones virtually unbreakable. The adamantium also forms 3 retractable claws in each hand, which are stored against his forearms when not in use. The claws rip through the skin between his knuckles when they are released, but there is minimal bleeding due to Logan's healing powers. These claws can cut through almost anything, including most metals.

History: Logan remembers only bits and pieces of his life prior to ten years ago. There are vague memories of being a Samurai in Japan, a mercenary operative for the CIA, and a "wildman" in the Canadian wilderness. However, these memories are suspect as part of the Weapon X project (which grafted the adamantium to his skeleton) included memory implants. He has one memory of meeting Captain America during World War II, and this has been proven to be true.

Sometime after World War II Logan was taken by a group of scientists led by Dr. Cornelius as a part of the Weapon X program. Cornelius was hired to perfect a technique that would bond the indestructable adamantium to human bone cells. After this proceedure was sucsessful on Logan, he was indoctrinated into the Weapon X assassin program.

Upon his release from the program Logan made his living fighting in Canadian bars. It was in one of these bars taht he met Rogue, which led to his first encounter with the X-Men. After taking a trip to Canada to learn more about his past, Logan has returned to Xavier's school, partly due to his love for Doctor Jean Grey.
