History: Scott's parents died at a young age and he was put in an orphanage. His mutant abilities made him unwanted by everyone except the woman who ran the home. Later in life, Scott was taken in by Professor Xavier, who gave him a special visor which allowed him to fire off his optic blasts only when he wished. Given the name Cyclops, Scott was made field leader of the X-Men, Xavier's group of mutants that worked for the betterment of human-mutant understanding.

The love of Scott's life is fellow X-Man Jean Grey.
