Mutation: Valdemar is able to bond his skin to objects molecularly. This gives him the ability to climb walls, to hold onto something or someone with an impossibly strong grip, or to bond his hand to any heavy object, effectively creating a club.

Costume: Berserker wears a standard black leather uniform with light blue, red, and gold piping and no gloves.

History: Valdemar was raised by his grandfather from the age of 6, when his parents were killed in a car accident. His grandfather was a retired private detective and Valdemar loved hearing stories of his grandfather's earlier days fighting all sorts of low lives in the streets of Oslo. Around the age of 15, Valdemar discovered that he had the ability to phase the molecules of his hand around an object, making it stick to his flesh. He kept his powers a secret from everyone and eventually became a private detective like his grandfather. When Valdemar learned of the Ellis Island incident, he left Norway to find the group of mutants responsible for the prevention of that particular terrorist act. He eventually found himself at the Xavier School for Gifted Youngsters, where he became part of the X-Men. Several months later, Valdemar heard that his grandfather had become ill and left the X-Men to tend to him. His grandfather died two days after Valdemar had returned. After several months of mourning, Valdemar finally decided to return to the X-Men and help better the relations between mutants and regular humans.
