Storm

Name: Ororo "Ro" Monroe
Code Name: Storm
Age: 28
Mother: N'Dare (princess of an unknown African country)
Father: David Monroe
Birthplace: Harlem, New York
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 150 lbs
Hair: White
Eyes: Blue (white when using her powers)

Mutation: Ororo has the ability to control atmospheric elements. She is completely in tune with the planet, which allows her to change the weather in a specific area with out affecting another. Her conection to the planet has an interesting affect on her physical body; when the temperature drops, her body temperature rises, and vice versa (this is why she often wears shorts in the winter). Ororo is able to fly by controlling wind and air currents, but if you put her in a vacuum she would be grounded like everyone else.

Besides her weather related powers, Storm is also skilled in hand-to-hand combat, marksmanship, and lockpicking.

History: Ororo was born in Harlem, but at the age of 6 her photojournalist father was sent to Cairo on assignment. The plane carrying the happy family was shot down, with Ororo as the only survivor. after being burried in the rubble with the bodies of her parents for several days she was found by urchins and taken to Achmed El-Gibar, the master theif of Cairo (This incident is the probable cause for Ororo's extreme claustraphobia). Achmed trained Ororo as a thief.

At the age of 12 Ororo unknowingly picked the pocket of one Charles Xavier. Xavier, who still had the use of his legs at the time, was able to chase Ororo, mentally "freeze" her, and reclaim his possessions. While charles could tell that the girl possessed mutant abilities, they were inturrupted and he was unable to speak to her about this.

Following a strong internal urge, Ororo began traveling south. Eventually she ended up in an African village, where her powers became extremely evident for the first time. Her emotions had a great impact on the weather, causing the locals to believe that she was a weather goddess. She lived among them at the base of Mt. Kilimanjaro until Professor Xavier rediscovered her. By this time she was 18, and decided to return to the United States as his student.
