Mutation: Dimitri can change his skin into stone, making it impervious to bullets, claws and some mutant powers (like energy blasts and electricity). While changing into stone, he sheds all his normal skin off and it is immediately replaced with a stone one. For most people it looks quite painful and gross but he doesn't feel a thing. His new skin makes him stronger but has some major weaknesses. If he is in, what he calls, "Golem Stage" he can't touch water. That makes his skin like mud and it will slide right off him. Rapidly changing temperatures makes his skin crack and will brittle away over a small period of time.

History: His parents, Pjotr and Olga, lived near Tjernobyl in a small town called Tjeskitza where they had a son. Some years later while Dimitri was playing on the playground the nuclear explosion occurred in Tjernobyl. Where he got a lethal dose of radiation. He was sent straight to the nearest hospital. There were many other people that had radiation sickness or other problems related with the explosion and most of the people were in worse shape. Even his parents didn't survive the radiation explosion. But Dimitri was one of the few that survived. after being in the hospital for months.

One of the doctors that treated him, Doctor Vladimir Valenco, adopted him and raised him like his own son. He led a "normal" life for a while, but was bullied most of the time about his adoption. After a while he had to drop out of school because of certain "health problems". His skin was peeling off at certain moments and at later stages were as hard as stone. His father didn't want to let him play outside, he was scared in what his son was becoming and didn't want to let others know of his sons situation. He even tried to help him get "normal" but with all his knowledge of radioactivity, he still couldn't help him.

Dimitri himself was afraid in what he was turning into, and his father sent him to Muir Island for help. On that island he noticed that others had the same type of problems of not controlling their changes or mutant powers. But with the help from the doctors on the Island he could control them with ease. He found it even intriguing and wanted to know more of his abilities. His father sent him to America where he could go back to school, run by Xavier, without the fear of being bullied and in the hope for more understanding of his powers.
