History: Jubilee grew up with a somewhat priviledged lifestyle. Her parents were chinese immigrants who had carved out quite a niche for themselves in Beverly Hills society; her father had become a sucsessful doctor. She attended expensive private schools and became a skilled gymnast, but her life was shattered when her parents lost their fortune and their lives all in the same weekend.

Jubilee took up "residence" at the Hollywood Mall, making a living by performing on the street, demonstrating her fireworks for passers by, and by the occasional petty theft. Unfortunately this all caught up with her one day, and security gaurds almost nabbed her. to her good fortune several female members of the X-Men, Storm, Rogue, and Psylocke, were shoping that day. The rest is, as they say, history.
