Mutation: Viper's body has many serpentine characteristics including a tail instead of a torso and legs, no visible ears or nose, fangs and a forked tongue. He is also able to produce and project an acidic compond from his mouth up to 5 feet away with a good degree of accuracy. Because of his bloods high tolerance to such things he is immune to most poisons, venoms and toxins.

Costume: Due to the fact that he is protected from the elements by scales and has no actual need for clothes, he wears only a simple dark red vest. The only reason he does is for a place to put the beeper that Magneto makes all the Brotherhood members carry.

History: He was born in a small Irish town, unlike many mutants it was easy to tell from his birth that he wasn't 'normal' because of his phsyical mutations. His parents, vocal members of an anti-mutant group, left him alone in a nearby grove, too upset to keep him, but unable to kill their own son. They figured this way they wouldn't feel guilty, and the total number of mutants in the world would be smaller. They were wrong on both counts however, like a snake he was able to fend for himself not long after birth.

About 10 years later he was found and trapped by a couple of hunters and sold to a carnival, where he picked up the human's language.

Being poked and prodded by humans day after day made him extremely hateful towards them and one day he attacked the people at the carnival, during which time he found out he could spit acid. One of the people present was a mutant named Mystique who revelaed herself to him and invited him to join the Brotherhood of Mutants. Soon after joining he took the name Viper for himself.
